US Air Credit Card Bonus

Hi,

I applied for the US Air credit card with 40000 bonus after 750 spending.  In the fine print it says you dont get the bonus untill you actually pay the annual fee.  It is through barclays.  Has anyone had any luck with getting the bonus miles without paying the fee?  Will they prorate the fee if you cancel?

I HATE BARCLAYS. They have the worst customer service, and never ever got an American.

As long as I get my sign up bonus....

They seem to (instantly) approve people very easily.
