I wanted to get one of those too but from what I heard, Sprint shut that down so the only way you'd get one is from someone who got it before they locked everything up. I just tether my phone now for free.
It is still very much active! I don't know about Sprint, but my device is from Virgin Mobile and it still available, at www.virginmobileusa.com/mobile-broadband/mifi-2200.html I don't know about the Sprint device, but even though Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint network, it is still an independent company that does offer the Mifi service.
Thanks AsherO for clarifying. I'm happy with my tethering to get net access when I need it. It is also nice not to worry about getting some nasty call from Sprint or a letter like some people have.
Is it too much for me to ask what this tethering is? I just found out about MiFi and now I get a new term. Anyone?
Using your phone as a modem to connect to the internet through the phone's data connection.
Can I use my iphone data plan and connect to my ipad (which only has wifi, which is my problem in the first place)? Where can I get this and see pricing, etc? And thanks.
