According to DoC's post, no one that has applied and supplied a DP, has gotten an instant approval... I would imagine Chase learned their lesson from the leaked CSR app.

Personally I would hold off.  No datapoints of instant approval.  Better to go apply in branch to avoid the annual fee (and potentially you could be pre-appoved).

1.  Does applying in branch without a chase relationship still get app fee waived??
2.  Chase Ink Bus Preferred offers Mobile Phone Protection - similar to coverage sold by all the carriers.  It can save over $ 10 per phone if you take this coverage from your carrier.  Does anyone know which other cards offer this coverage?
