(This is not against SPG's T&C as you can gift purchase these for any member, and I'm not selling the points that I currently have in my account.)

Points have been reported to be instantly available, but SPG states 24 hours, so YMMV.

I don't think personal PP has an invoice option. I've been burned by chargebacks after personal sales, and especially because this has no seller protection as nothing is being shipped, I prefer to keep it strictly to personal PP.

It's a trust aspect for both - I cannot cancel gifting points per SPG T&C, so I'd have to have assurance that the funds won't be clawed back as well.

You can only be gifted 30k total over the year, so no. You can always make another account and transfer through Marriott though. (Is that only free for gold members?)

Yup, 30k total to any account, gifted and purchased combined.

Marriott transfer also works, but $10 fee unless you are above Gold.

SPG household transfer works too but you have to have the same address on file for at least 30 days.

Can someone confirm - you can only transfer 50,000 Marriott per acct per year between people who are not in the same household. (50k in and 50k out - not combined)

You can pool points when you are making a high point reservation, then cancel it.

Sketchy way to do this, but it works.
