So What Does the "Like" Button Signify?

Now that the new "like" feature seems to be established and here to stay, many find it to be carrying different meanings.
Is it:
  • I like what you posted?
  • Instead of +1?
  • Thank you, I appreciate you info?
  • Wow! You had a great line in your post?
  • Great deal?
I'll just wonder out loud whether we can come to agreement on something, or will it just remain for every like to be determined on a one on one basis.
