Is there a way to use someone's companion code without them having to purchase the flights for me (or being one of the passengers)? I'm interested in buying one of these codes from you guys, but it seems like a hassle to have to send the info and money and have you pay for it.

There must be a workaround, right?

Anyone actually used the code w/o the alaska CC? I used to have 6 CC and every year let em expire. Now I am down to 3 a year. ($121 version). PM price if interested.

Looking to purchase 1 taxes only companion pass. Can someone tell me if I can use someone else's companion pass without having to make them pay for it? Another member of this board explained that I should be able to pay for the reservation myself as long as I put the companion pass holder's name in the credit card info (even if I use my credit card).

Can someone confirm? If true, I'd like to purchase the taxes only code asap. I can pay by paypal and will send the money in a mater of seconds.

The companion fare is a single use unique code. Anyone with any credit card can book the fare if they have the unique code.

When I tried to use someone else's code last month I got a message saying the pass holder must be on the reservation or the reservation must be paid for with a card held by the companion code owner.

I see you've sold some in the past @danssubs , can you tell me how others were able to book their reservation?
