This Shalom Aleichem? https://www.shazam.com/track/538062007/shalom-aleichem

Isn't it R'Ben Zion Shenker?
https://rsa.fau.edu/album/40883
I think she means the one from Dveykus (I don't really hear it though, yet)

Now I'm thinking she's referring to Shalom Aleichim on Aish 3

Neither song really sticks out to me...

Old Russian march. Stolin chassidus lays claim to it though....

Is this commonly used at the end of mussaf in Tishrei?

Yep - MBD tells a funny story about that, something along the lines that Carlebach "accused" him of stealing it. And MBD legit (or so he tells it) didn't realize that he got it from Carlebach.

The non-Jewish origin video I posted was for the intro/arrangement.

This is the story. Suki and Ding were learning as Bachurim in Eretz Yisroel, and heard the tune to "Tov Lehodos" sung by a bachur in Yehsiva. On the way to a concert featuring MBD, they put the words "V'chol Maaminim" to the tune, thinking it was a classic old tune. They went backstage pre-concert, and sang it to MBD, who liked it.
Inventor of the internet. V'af al pi shechatah yisroel hu.

Heard about this on the Besser/Rotenberg interview, posted here. Rare example of a non-Jewish artist doing a cover on a Jewish song.

Interesting. But I'm assuming his audience is secular, no?

In stolin? No. Sang many times as a march, no connection to yomim noraim.

You all might like this -
Jewish music personalities Yossi Green, Boruch Chait, Abie Rotenberg, Sruli Williger and Joey Newcomb were seen backstage at the Jewish Music Hall of Fame Concert in New York on Sunday enjoying an impromptu Kumzitz (Or should I say Gospel Sesh?)

Setlist:
Kum Ba Ya / Oseh shalom
Old Time Religion
This little light of mine
Ain't Gonna Study War No More / Lo Yisa
Yom Shekulo Shabbos
I'm on my way to freedom land

This isn't technically a "cover" but non-Jewish DJ Kirito has made a couple of Nightcore versions of Gavriel Reichman songs. (Nightcore is a genre of electronic music where the pitch is raised and usually the tempo sped up.)

The originals:

Quote from: Wikipedia
A nightcore "edit" is a version of a track that increases the pitch and speeds up its source material by approximately 35%. This gives an effect almost identical to playing a 33.3 RPM vinyl record at 45 RPM. [...]
The name is derived from the Norwegian musical duo "Nightcore", who released pitch-shifted versions of trance and eurodance songs. Nightcore is also commonly associated
and accompanied with anime, and otaku culture with many YouTube thumbnails of nightcore remixes containing anime characters and art.

I'd heard of nightcore before, but not of Gavriel Reichman.

I'd heard of nightcore before, but not of Gavriel Reichman.

He was a lead singer on Waterbury's debut album. He now releases music under the name "Gavriel". His debut album is mamash amazing.

Should we have a thread for non-Jewish music that Jewish people ought to be stealing?
