This is nuts. I have business class seats reserved for January and February. I hope they dont change the planes on me. The only way to get them to stop acting like a third world airline is to get the chareidi press which caters to a large part of the consumer base to start writing about these practices
I haven't heard them (please someone correct me if I am wrong) do this on the TLV-JFK-TLV route (and possibly not on any of the 747 routes - EWR-TLV alternates between 747 and 777. Are the any DP about that route being substituted when a 747 was scheduled?) You see this mostly on their secondary long-haul (and possibly short haul) routes that operate a 767 or 777.
Last night's cancelled flight was supposed to be operated by a 747
So I guess they do cancel 747s, but after all EWR-TLV is secondary to JFK-TLV. Has any of this been happening on that route, and especially their flagship 001 flight?
Yes
Does israels compensation law cover strikes? This will cost them millions!
I can't believe they care about Chareidim, they treat them like cr@p. Then again, it's mutual, the Chareidim treat LY like cr@p as well.
Asher they care about their bottom line. I fly this route around 6 times a year and roughly 50% of passengers are chareideim. I can't imagine a article in the Chareidi weeklys won't awaken them
Then again, it's mutual, the Chareidim treat LY like cr@p as well.
In what manner? (And please don't say that they make minyanim and attempt not to sit next to those of the opposite gender when they feel it's inappropriate.)
