Flights cancelled - strike possible in the coming days/weeks at El Al

I need to fly to Israel in the beginning of January for a short in and out, my best option currently is $869 through El Al. Should I be worried?

I would be worried flying ELAL period.... Actually that may be a bit harsh but if the difference is minimal i would pay it.

Difference isn't minimal at all, additionally I'm not planning on being in Israel long enough for a stopover to make sense. In short, this is my only option as far as I (and 2 other travel agents) can see. My question is about being worried regarding the strike/wet leasing situation

The current situation in ELAL is tenuous i would be wary not worried.  But i would still book.

actually they changed their mind, & the flight is operating & arriving in TLV at 18:49 !!! when its already night לכל הדעות.

so LY is not שומר שבת.

Unfortunately they never were. But there is some value to the fact that their flight schedule doesn't have flights scheduled to operate on Shabbos or first day Yomtov.

My FIL recently took an ELAL flight and got notified by SMS that flight will be operated by Hi Fly.
