Should get transferred automatically. They have an agreement. But why don't you ask at check-in counter?

IME when connecting at YYZ to a final destination in US, you need to clear US customs at YYZ. Though IIRC you don't actually retrieve your luggage, you stand in a room and identify it on a video monitor.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

It seems they are exempt from paying compensation if the delays and cancellations are caused by pilot strikes
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

You can cancel your flight for free... OR show up for your flight and be seated in Y - and they will give you a free rountrip business class ticket to anywhere in Europe.

Haha very true.  Honestly, I'd just rather have a nice, relaxing vacation according to my scheduled flights and in my scheduled class of service.

Even if pilots claim they aren't on strike lol. How do you claim?

1. Go to Elal.com
2. On the bottom of the page click "Get in Touch"
3. Click "Email Us"
4, Click "Flight Delay/Cancellation" and continue
5. Fill out form
6. Enjoy your extra cash

As a result of cancellations last night, many were reprotected on Delta as well as some other airlines. A passenger who flew DL last night to JFK said that they announced before takeoff:
"A special welcome to our Elal guests. We hope we can keep you as customers"
