Bank of America Platinum AMEX
« on: November 12, 2008, 11:00:14 PM »
i got an offer in the mail for a Bank of America Rewards Plat. Amex with terms that seem to echo the regular Platinum Amex (business) but for half the price

0% intro APR followed by %5.00 standard (!) (prime +%0),
Airport lounge access (priority pass membership),
companion airfaire (4-per year),
roadside assistance,
etc.

first year fee-free followed by $195/year

(this may be targeted, as i could not find this on the website, except when putting in my invitation code)

is this a half price version of amex platinum? or am i missing something?

There are many types of priority pass membership, most of which require you to pay a certain amount in order to access lounges.
On the real AMEX Plat you and your family or 2 companions enter lounges for free.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

By the way, Ameriprise has a MC elite card which also gives free priority pass (free entranse with guests- no $30 enterance fee- called them to double check that, dan) for a annual fee of only $150! (I'm not sure if the first year is free to non clients - called them twice and got different answers). Seems like the best out there, especially if the first year is free!

Enjoy!
