Hi- Does it make sense that to renew my registration on a toyota avalon it should cost me $135? (live in NY)

You are paying:
3,451 - 3,550 lbs. $56.50 registration fee
Vehicle use tax - $30
Supplemental MCTD fee - $50
=$136.50

Lasts for 2 years. If its a lease, or you sell thye car, you can transfer the registration to the new car, or apply for a refund.

That's strange. I renewed my registration a few months ago and it was $115 (impala). Has it gone up since then?

I went twice to register my car but they don't seem to let. They say its could be a junked title. The thing is, it was registered there a couple of months ago. Nothing happened in between.

2 years for a Mazda 6 2015. $132. Seems that's about the price for a midsize sedan.
