Last week was the first time in a while that I successfully paid an electric bill using foreign credit card. (Visa) It seems with them it's been hit or miss over the last year or 2. Before that time electric bills were a strong vehicle in helping me reach thresholds for credit card bonuses.

Been paying it online with US cards every month for years, never had an issue.

Same here. Until this week. I will say that I switched addresses, so I wonder if it has anything to do with the mispar chozeh. Sounds strange, but it's the first time I'm having issues, so maybe....

Just tried paying Electric now with a Barclays MC, Citi MC, and Chase Visa - all failed.

I paid my (very overdue) electric bill last Wednesday with Capital One Visa.
I should be paying the another one next week, hope it'll work $:-\$

Just tried paying for a new teudat zehut online at gov.il.
It denied my CapitalOne Visa, my Citi Premier MC, and an Amex (Hilton)

In the end went with my Israeli Amex...

I dont know about online payments beside for the 1 shekel parking ticket payments that ive had no problem with. But bills in general over the phone ive never REALLY had an issue. Across the board from all insurance bills and utilities , i always pay with american cc. I give passport number and never had issues. Even when being told that they cant accept a foreign card i just respond then they wont see the bill paid bc that is my only payment option. The rep has always worked it out.

I have automatic payments set up on 2 US credit cards. Works fine every month.

For the last 2 years I have not managed to pay with any US CC online or by phone. Last night it actually worked by phone (automated system) using CSP

My American Visa gets billed automatically each month.

I've had no problem paying bituach leumi with foreign CC
But I've had no success paying my mas hachnassah with any visa or mastercard - anyone had any success?

UPS Israel has stopped accepting any non-Israeli cards (I literally tried every type including Discover. After calling, the rep confirmed that it was impossible and the policy recently changed).
