Lots of fee's and

Variable Rate information – Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change at any time after the first six months. After the promotional interest rate ends, the interest rate will be the non-promotional interest rate that we offer for savings accounts at that time (currently 0.90%).

Not worth it IMHO

I'm seeing 1.00% APY.  How is this a better deal than the others mentioned before?

Check BankRate and Kiplinger

These credit unions give like 5% up to maybe like $20k or something:
Consumer's Credit Union
Lake Michigan Credit Union
Great Lakes Credit Union?
Northpointe Bank?

Bank of Internet, Alliant CU have <1%. Alliant gives free checks and if you want a secured installment loan you'll end up with that checking account anyway.

Some of these will do a hard pull for the checking account - keep that in mind. You could get a credit card with them though at the same time/same pull maybe.

yes---- but if "going to" leave money for the full term makes no difference that i know of-
do u know of any reason ??

if going to break CD u maybe better off direct from a bank that has a small cancellation fee

Everbank is giving 1.45 APY on a 12-month CD - I can't find anyone else who beats that
