I heard that you can't transfer amex points between accounts.

Q: Is the same true for husband-wife? Can they combine their accounts?

p.s. reason I care is I know a couple who each acct. has less than 100k but wanna do the delta transfer with bonus +silver status

I recently transferred my husband's points into my account but they made me close his plat account first (so he didn't have any open charge cards). They needed to speak with both of us...

When I asked, they said the policy is no, but that they would allow me anyhow as goodwill.

I'm 'saving' it in case I need it in the future.

How are you saving it? Does them having said so make it that they will in the future? If you had actually done it does that preclude it from being done in the future?
