About a month ago I got a call from my sister- in- law, who teaches in a local yerushalmi school, for help.
She told me of one of her students, an 18-year-old kallah who was on the verge of collapsing. Her father had invested all his money for a house by somebody who went bankrupt. They moved into a decrepit home, in an outskirt community only so that they shouldn’t have to borrow money from people. They were living off a tiny income that the mother brought in from the gan that she had. About 2 years ago the mother of this kallah, whom she was extremely close to, became very ill and had to stop working. This student of hers was totally running the home, despite being a few weeks before her wedding. It was a desperate situation that she described and of course I tried helping her with a donation.
And now I ask you for help…
Unfortunately, this young mother, about to marry off her eldest, was nifter.
This is an Unfathomable tragedy.
The kallah and her family got up from Shivah thursday and she will be going under the chuppah TONIGHT!
This family has not a penny for all the medical expenses of the past two years, wedding expenses and no money to just feed them for today.
Please be as generous as possible (5 dollars counts, though)
