When considering a cause, see http://mg.alhatorah.org/Vayikra/25.35 and pay special attention to Rashi!

"When he is well enough, he works; when he is incapacitated, his own people take care of him. And not in a poor and stingy way, but with a fine and large benevolence. His race is entitled to be called the most benevolent of all the races of men. A Jewish beggar is not impossible, perhaps; such a thing may exist, but there are few men that can say they have seen that spectacle. The Jew has been staged in many uncomplimentary forms, but, so far as I know, no dramatist has done him the injustice to stage him as a beggar. Whenever a Jew has real need to beg, his people save him from the necessity of doing it. The charitable institutions of the Jews are supported by Jewish money, and amply. The Jews make no noise about it; it is done quietly; they do not nag and pester and harass us for contributions; they give us peace, and set us an example — an example which we have not found ourselves able to follow; for by nature we are not free givers, and have to be patiently and persistently hunted down in the interest of the unfortunate."
-Mark Twain, Concerning the Jews (Harper's Monthly, 1899)

A sad situation. I can vouch on this case.

A lot of you on this forum would recognize my screen name but I prefer to post it from here.

I got married a couple of years back and we were finding it hard to become pregnant. A OB-GYN will not take Halacha into account and not all Rabbonim are equipped with the answers especially as new procedures and methods are introduced. Also, it can be hard to know who to which OB-GYN are good and which aren't so good.

Rabbi and Mrs Melber opened Tahareinu for exactly these reasons. They give courses to Rabbonim and Chassan/Kalla teachers empowering them with all the relevant medical knowledge in this field. He has trained dozens of women who answer calls five days a week, in nine languages all around the globe.

Rabbi and Mrs Melber make themselves very available and are constantly getting in touch with the dozens of couples that they are actively helping. They treat every couple with the care as if they are their only child.

A couple of months ago, we BH had a simcha. To repay Tahareinu for all that they have done for us and in order for hundreds of other couples to be helped whether it is in regards to infertility, miscarriages, all Tahara issues please donate generously if possible.

https://www.charityextra.com/tahareinu/47015

If you are struggling in any of these areas or just want to be reassured about something, give Tahareinu a call. Trust me, it's worth it!

Done.

I try to never turn down a solicitation from such an organization. I thank Hashem that He didn't put me through these tribulations. This could happen to anyone, and the least I could do is to support the journey of others going through their personal challenges.

Dear all,

This case is about my sister in law, a single mum that passed away after almost 10 years of fighting that accursed disease.
She left 5 children behind, penniless and about to lose the roof above their head.

Kupat Hair has 2 systems:
1. They promote and drag this out worldwide, and take a huge chunk.
2. Just using them as a payment processor and they take no fees, and the family will not be shamed.

The family opted for option 2, and the funding has been really hard...

If you could help, it would be really appreciated!

Our Chabad House is running a fundraiser raffle (10k cash and more) this Thursday.
Would appreciate if you buy some tickets (or any donations accepted).
Donations over 180 are also entered into an additional raffle on a dollar of the Rebbe (high odds of winning).
We won't sell your email or spam you (but we might call you next year! ;)
Here's the link:

My family is running a campaign to help out my aunt and uncle in Israel.

They're wonderful people who've adopted two beautiful children with down syndrome, and then later finally had twins of their own.

Unfortunately my uncle was diagnosed with Parkinson's, which has been getting worse and worse. It's up to my aunt to support the entire family, which has been incredibly difficult.

Their debts are mounting, and it has now reached the point where they are in danger of losing their apartment altogether.

Our family has taken it upon ourselves to try to help as much as we can. Please help us help them!

Every little bit helps. Thank you and tizku l'mitzvos!
