Paging yochiek92.
Please chime in on the SN J experience :-)

IMHO, DY Premium ECO is better.
SN ground crew and support is non existant. No one ever to help you.
SN also supports BDS.

Ah, your opinion. Besides how much money do you think they make on a free flight?

Who is giving out free flights?
I would patronize them in any way.

Once more about SN, the U2 experience is better.

Had anyone checked availability out of yyz?
YYZ and IAD aren't on the EY redemption chart

Unofficially they allow one ways, so I'm sure with enough HUCA you can get mixed cabin

How does that prove they support BDS? They got requests to stop buying a product, stopped buying it without understanding the full controversy and then reinstated the product.
Talk to me when their FA's start handing out BDS pamphlets.

The free flight is when you use miles to fly instead of handing them $700 for the flight.

On a side note, I don't remember seeing chalva on a UA, AC or any other flight that is not LY.

Though it may require too many HUCAs to be worth it honestly. Just getting availability is an accomplishment with EY

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

A one way has been done after 2 or 3 HUCAs

That doesn't mean it usually takes 2-3. It could 4-5 hours on the phone to get this done. You might as well give it a try but it might not be worth the time.

I was able to test book a OW JFK-BRU-TLV,

as others have mentioned dealing with the EY call center is like the wild west, each agent have their own set of rules & I actually found that the indian agent in AUH was more competent then the ones in manchester.

The maddening part is that theres no way of knowing what availability EY has access to. It doesn't match ExpertFlyer, AC or UA

I actually found that even SQ wasn't matching UA availability which leads me to suspect the problem lies with SN

I booked a flight in March for jfk-bru-tlv unfortunately the first leg was only available in economy so I booked it. My second leg bru-tlv is business. The agent claimed that I need 2 separate bookings which she made for me. My questions are:
1. How do I insure that my baggage goes to tlv from jfk (without having to recheck).
2. Can my award flight be upgraded to business? I am mainly concerned with utilizing the extra piece of luggage.
Thanks in advance for any info.

I booked 2 business tickets tlv-bru and bru-jfk seperate tickets with 1 hour in between
Called etihad and Brussels airlines both told me they won't check my luggage for Jfk in tlv,
How can i be relaxed about that? What if the agent at tlv counter doesn't know either about it?
Thanks

Looks like you're new here. Biz class on the short run is economy class, same seat. Waste of miles.

Worth the extra 5k for baggage, blocked middle seat, priority check-in, and amenity kit.

There is no guarantee! I have been denied that request before. They have no obligation to check your bags through on separate PNR's and every right to say no.

You made a cost-benefit decision to book your flight as 2 separate tickets,  now live with it!!!
