I was opening it for discussion.

IMHO the moral of the story is, when a doorbuster deal is just so phenomenal, it is likely to be extremely low inventory, and demand is likely to be tremendous. It's not a loss leader, but rather a publicity gimmick. The chances of getting in are extremely low, and it's usually not worth the effort or the hope.

That is more than the number of some of the doorbusters in the box stores

And those are also not worth pursuing for most normal people. Though those are designed to get people in the door finding something else. Also no store expects tens of thousands walking when the store opens for the doorbuster.

Hard to say something online isn't worth bothering with. Schlepping out to store, camping out for an hour, and having a boxing match for a TV is a different story.

Agreed, which is why I gave this a shot (with very low expectations) at my son's request. But once I saw that I couldn't even get in to see the "deal" I just moved on.
