Merge duplicate delta accounts?

I have 2 delta accounts, one with 30k MQM's, one with 20k MQM's.

Is it better for me to merge? Both accounts are currently silver, will I qualify for this years gold if I merge (50k MQM's)?

Is there another benefit I don't know about in keeping them seperate?
