Transferring Delta Skymiles (from Amex card) to Starwood Points

Does anyone know of a way?  I saw a reference online that there is a way to do it, but don't see how.  I have 100k+ Delta miles and want to get best value for them and would love to transfer.  Read that there is a 5k bonus when you transfer and gets you real good value

Not possible.

And if there is (points.com), it'll wipe out much of the value.

I thought that I had seen a reference on thepointsguy.com.  I may have misunderstood.  How can I maximize value then, without purchasing travel?
