It's confirmed as working. Nothing in life is guaranteed.

It should.

Someone Ben commented on DDMS post today that Chase told him that those who didn't use 2016 credit have $600 in 2017. Hard to believe. Any others?

If not, my brother just opened the card a few days ago and I see now his statement closed the 3th of December. Anything we can try to get the $300 for 2016? Thanks in advance.

DROPR, you can try sending a SM and see what they say but don't count on it.

Thanks, what should I write? That I didn't realize that the 2016 period ended because the terms weren't clear? Because a rep told me otherwise?

Write that the terms were confusing and you just got approved but didn't have enough time to get the TC, be creative, give them a sob story.
ETA : You might want to try moving your statement forward a few days first and see if they'll let you do that.

Ok thanks. Re the ETA, from what I understand moving the statement date later won't help because the TC goes based on the first statement closing in December. No?

Dan wrote on DDMS that it officially won't work to change to a later date based on the wording in the t&c but I haven't seen any DP that it for sure won't work.
You may as well try it, in case it works.

ETA: Here's the quote

Chase also writes that it ends with the “First” December statement, so seemingly if you miss your December statement and then change your due date to generate a second December statement, it still will only count as a 2017 travel charge.

I am not sure. Maybe a more experienced member can chime in (and tell us if the idea is worth trying as well).

If you can change it to around a week from now,  spend $300 and then wait for it to close and spend another $300 you will see if you get the credit twice.
Our maybe if you PUTPAC they can tell you which year's credit you received (without having to spend another $300).

When signed into Chase, go to Ultimate Rewards.  Go to your Reserve card.  Start scrolling down. There's a box saying how much of the credit you received this  year.  Dan has a direct link and a picture in his last writeup of this card.  http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/101084
I don't know what it'll look like when there's a 2nd year, but there'll probably be a 2nd box.

Any way I can buy a Disney gc and have it count towards a travel credit? The Disney site looks like it is only for personal account funding.

DP: I got $300 back for travel a couple months ago and today I noticed a second $300 credit received. Not convinced it won't get clawed back but in the meantime hakol revach. Not complaining. :)

(If posting this could result in people losing out on such "mistakes", I humbly ask the mods to remove it. Thanks.)
