Few of my CC had their AF hit.
Ink plus
SP
SPG biz
citi AA plat
i plan on opening a business (legit) in 2-3 years. does it pay to keep the ink opened and pay the AF in the meantime bec they discontinued it?
what is the consensus of keeping the other cards open especially now with the once in a lifetime bonus, and 5/24 rule?
Try for retention offers on each before you do anything else.
The Ink+ is becoming a legacy card, so if the categories are important for you don't close.
SP can be downgraded to a F5 or FU.
If you stay at Starwood hotels even a couple nights a year, the Sheraton Club benefits can outweigh the AF on the SPG biz assuming you dont have platinum status. AMEX has also been loose with SPG points or statement credits as retention offers on SPG.
CitiAA is whatever. They always give spend bonus offers. There's also a new Barclays product coming (or at least available for new apps again) so any benefits that card gives you can be achieved elsewhere. It can be downgraded to a CitiAA Bronze with no AF
