Disputing a flight charge on AMEX
« on: April 17, 2011, 07:12:44 PM »
(If its not on the right board, please move it)

My brother had a flight this morning and wa\snt let on because his daughter didnt have a passport (canada to us).

Is it worth diputing the charge on the AMEX? Would it work?

If that's what's required, what's your argument?

my question is, would it work? its not the airlines fault... And they were offerring to give back money (towards a new ticket minus the change fees).

Do your ticket rules state that they should be rerouting you?

IMHO its worth a try. the worst that can happen is that they'll say no.

I think its stealing. Even if amex accepts it. You paid a airline for a seat. They gave you what you paid for, but you could not travel as you didnt have a valid passport
