Buying Used car - Financing Options
« on: November 28, 2016, 08:38:51 AM »
Anyone here have any experience, with financing a used car?
What do the rates range? What are the mo/yr options?
Any recommended financing brokers?

I went with DCU about a year ago they had the lowest rates- 1.99% up to 65 months.

I have used Penfed. Lots of options.

I called, I forgot why, think I had a question about their rates but ended up getting approved over the phone in under 10 minutes.

Right now that sounds familiar.  You can try and get a refund on the overnight.  I think they gave me back $15. Its still sitting in my Dcu checking account

I used DCU as well (only because thats what dealer recommended). You have to become a member (IINM its $5). I found the whole process to be a PIA. Maybe because I never did it before and expected smoother.

Thanks for your feedback. You have any other recommendation?

Dealer mentioned chase is fairly smooth. I dont know anything about it. DCU has/had the best rate (although looking back, the difference wasnt that much)
