Yes sorry - not reserve unlimited - sapphire preferred reserve. That would be the reason for the downgrade. Unsure of the warranty status once I downgrade.
There are 3 varieties of the Sapphire card:
Sapphire
Sapphire Preferred
Sapphire Reserve

There are 2 varieties of the Freedom card:
Freedom
Freedom Unlimited
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

If my wife just signed up and got approved for the reserve card which card should I downgrade my sapphire preferred card to? I also have a freedom card but I'm thinking to downgrade to get another freedom or to get the freedom unlimited.

You could downgrade to freedom or regular sapphire.

Is it better to have to freedom cards and no freedom unlimited cards or to have one and one?

Depends what you're spending on. They each have certain bonus categories.

Is there any advantage of having 2 freedom unlimited cards (w/o getting bonus)?? I attempted to downgrade my sapphire reserve to a freedom unlimited. Due to the fact that I wanted a new card #, rep claimed the card was "lost" and issued a new one under chase freedom unlim. Well, after an awkward pause she told me she had reported my reg freedom "lost" and there was no way to undo it. She then proceeded to fix the matter- well today fed ex dropped off 2 freedom unlimited- 1 that was a regurlar freedom and one that was a sapphire reserve. For one, I am pissed bec I cant get 5x right now (and a new freedom app will count towards 5/24).. But did I gain anything?

A) A product change is not a new account for 5/24.

B) Change it back.

AF just posted again. I've kept this card for years as a regular spend card. I'm not feeling it anymore. Any reason to keep it?

Downgrade? Cancel? Ask for retention?

Get a reserve (I think you've mentioned you already got one) and downgrade to freedom. Still plenty of time to max out 5x quarter in drugstore.

Still reconning for the Reserve. (The Reserve I got approval on was for DW.)

I have two Freedoms now already. You mean get a third? Or you mean that fancy new kind of Freedom?

I think the freedom unlimited is a great card to have if you don't have one.

Every quarter? That doesn't make sense to do.

Regular > max out the 5x > change to FU.

That sounds like smart advice for this quarter.
