I have had this card for years with no fee. However, i just received a letter saying how effective Aug 1st I will be charged a $95 fee. Can't believe they're doing this to long time users and not offering any type of recourse.

You sure you paid nothing? Doesn't make sense. Maybe you were grandfathered in to $85 fee

Maybe you have the regular Sapphire, and they sent you the letter by mistake? Or you've been paying without realizing. the card always had an annual fee

I hate to be rude but do you think DDFers have special retention offers that aren't available to FTers? For the record retention offers on this card are rare.

Don't worry you're not being rude, it's a genuine question. I don't assume all posters here also post to FT, so I thought I'd throw the question here as well just to see if there had been anyone who received an offer. DPs on FT were a few weeks old and there haven't been in on this post in a few pages worth (few months)

A month ago there were a few $60 retention DP's.

I just got an offer for deal on Maserati's exclusive for chase private clients. This offer shows up on my Chase login. As far as I know I'm not a Chase private client and my wife doesn't have this offer on her login page. Anyone get this offer? I know it's prob nothing but was just wondering why I got this offer?  I just recently was approved for the Chase sapphire preferred.

A lot of people have been getting it, basically useless unless of course you were planning on buying a Maserati anyway

AF is not waived, standard offer is 50k + AF waived so only slightly better. The old post hadn't had any posts in 180 days and gave me a warning, apologizes if I should have posted there. Also wait for Dan's links as always.

You can try to sm after approval.
I had recently applied and sm chase twice to match to 60k until I got a positive answer see below.

Hello ****, Allow me to provide information on your request to match the new bonus offer. Chana, I reviewed your credit card account and found that we can match the new offer of 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open. Our records show you haven't met the spending requirement. As of March 20, 2019, the purchases made on the account are $906.24. This amount does not include any pending charges that are yet to post to the account. After you have met the required spend, please reply to this email to claim the offer. You'll be eligible as long as: - You have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months. - Your account is open and not in default when we post the bonus. - Your eligible purchases do not include balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable. We appreciate the opportunity to help you. We value our relationship with you, and thank you for choosing Chase. Thank you, Medalene Chase Email Servicing

Is this a new thing that you can only get the bonus once every 48 months?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.
