Being that the credit only applies to a posted payment, you would most likely only receive the 50% return and not the credit, being that by the time the first transaction posts it's no longer the selected airline

Where are you assuming that from? Did anyone get a credit for 2016 on a purchase that posted after 12/31?

Dan had said that the transaction needed to be made in 2016 but not necessarily post. Regardless I believe that is what happened to me. Either way the credit only applies after the purchase posts, I have never seen otherwise which led me to my assumption
