I used my credit for United Travel Bank on 12/12. When I didn't receive the credit until 12/24, I chatted with an agent, who asked what the fee charge was. I said United Travel Bank, and he immediately credited me manually.

Any update?

Took a few days to credit but it was successful. I used a $50 delta gift card to purchase a flight that was $258.20 and charged the rest to my card. Cancelled the flight for credits and it's all good.

Sorry for being ignorant, but how does this work?
You purchase a $50 delta GC and use that combined with cash to purchase a ticket to then cancel and get delta credit? What is the point of the gift card then?

It doesn't have to be a GC, credits should work as well. The point is to trigger an extra collection fee, so you charge a few dollars to a GC or Credit and then the $200 to your card.
