Purchases That Work For Amex Platinum Travel Credit

Trying again:

In order to use the amex credit for jetblue travel bank, I need to:
1. Purchase a ticket for less than $129.
2. Cancel the ticket outside of the cancelation window and save the credit to my travel bank.
Is that correct?
Additionally, would I receive a statement credit If i were to purchase a ticket under $129 outright for an upcoming trip?

I purchased one ticket for $103.90 and $93.90 one week ago. Credit has yet to post. Should I still expect a credit?

Cross posting here, since I didn't realize this (more appropriate) thread existed when I first posted:

I just did a Jetblue booking for the plat airline credit. Someone told me that you can do the full $200 at once since it splits it up by pax (ie 2 separate charges of $100 each). But I also used up old travel bank funds that were expiring and it looks like its pending on my Amex account as 1 charge (of ~$162, did a separate booking for the last bit). Is that normal, and it'll still post as 2 charges once it fully posts? Or does that indicate that the travel bank credit messed it up and I should cancel for real refund and try again as 2 bookings (considering keeping this flight if things work out)?

Can’t say for sure, but my guess would be that it’s too late at this point. On the other hand, the worst case scenario is that it posts in 2024 and you just use up your 2024 credit.

Post retroactive as swipe date by me (I think same with Dell ship date). My UTB emails match my cc bill to exact date.

By dell it was dependent on shipping date. I made a $200 purchase and the charge for each item depended on what date it shipped

When paying on top of a credit. E credit is 99 you swipe 30 for a 129 flight. You’ll get the 30. How large you can go I don’t know. I’ve done around 35 all I needed the rest I did UTB
