as a travel agent, I previously issued a jetblue MCO for about $60 on my amex plat where jetblue was the selected airline; I didn't do this intentionally but it credited back!
On Dec 31st I woke up that I didn't use my credit yet, and I had a different airline selected, so I chatted with amex and changed it to jetblue, and then issued 2 $100 MCOs hoping it would work.
So far it has not; it could be because the airline change didn't go thru quick enough, but I chatted with them and (stupidly) told them I paid for extra legroom seats, which they say is not covered, only seat fees, not "upgrades" so now that's notated and they won't manually credit it. Thankfully, these MCOs are fully refundable, so I just lose out on the 2024 credit, I'm not actually out of pocket, but before I refund them, is it worth waiting a bit longer? maybe there's still a chance it will go through?
