What does "coded as Gift" mean? Is this something you saw somewhere on Amex site/app, or something that someone from Amex told you, or are you just using this as a euphemism for an assumption you made. In my experience Amex has no idea that the 2x$100 charges are from TB loads, let alone gift vs self.

@Redbull3 both types of charges now clearly show that it's travelbank and the ones gifted to someone else also show up as gift. I ddint chat with anyone, it's all in the transaction details on the amex site. I can post a screenshot later

Or more likely, batching from the original period was the problem as I did not gift them and still didn't receive the credit.

Definitely not in my case since I charged several plat and biz plat cards the same day and only the ones which gifted the TB didn't get the credit. Also all of the HH Aprire cards charged this day got the credit as well

You need to go to the statements and activity on the website not the app and click on the transaction to get the details. They all show as Travelbank now, I checked my Dec 2024 Aspire transaction and it was already like that but in summer it wasn't. This one was a gift to another TB and quoted as "gift certificate"

chat did not work getting a manual credit for 2024 airline credit from my dec 18 purchase of TB to another person.

Now I have to pay $200 and was paid much less than that.  It seems I lost money on this .  any other options at this point?

Yes it's smth new and I'm almost certain that it wasn't like that on Jan4th when I got the first credits and was checking my statements. If they do close it down it will be pretty hard to justify the AFs unless it's a 250k offer....

It also comes up ona different Amex CC when I used it for VS taxes

Purchased TB on Jan 13 and got my credit on Jan 17, so the New Merchant doesn't appear to be an issue for the credit.

Only on the app does it show new merchant, if you login from a desktop version you’ll see United

I have a biz plat and a personal, bought 100x 2 on each in Dec and was credited, after Jan 1st I did it again on Jan 9th, the personal was credit on the 12th and the buisness has yet to receive the credit, anyone else have this?
