Last year I booked 2 mileage tickets on united and I had to pay the $75 close in fee. The taxes automatically got the travel credit and the fee did not. I called and argued that the $75 is a fee and should be credited. After a back and forth and escalation they credited it.

This year I chose frontier as I was planning on flying with them a couple of times. I booked a ticket a couple of weeks ago for $29 and the whole thing was credited back for the travel credit.

I had the same with B6, its just not 100% that it'll work

Why does Delta have to be purchased in $50's, it appears that it all comes form the same website, so why can't I purchase larger amount?

officially it excludes all gift cards on all airlines. DP's suggest that only when done in $50 increment does it trigger the credit. possibly because it's a lower amount so it thinks it's an incidental travel fee. I don't know how they have things categorized

Does not work. I think only Delta in 450 and Southwest in $100 still work, anyone with more recent experience ?

$50 southwest was fine too last week.

Maybe hold off, see Docs latest post. After my successful $50 tried a $100 and today is day 4 no credit.... just putting it out there.

Purchased one $50 DL on May 14th, credit on May 16th.

Purchased two individual $50 DL (two separate purchases) on June 26th, still waiting for credit.

Thanks, I just got another Gold card, maybe I waited too long, if this is the case Ill be closing 3 Biz Platinum cards I have had open since 2012, I do not really see a reason to pay these kind of fees, if the airline credit is gone, and all the recent Amex offers are not what it used to be.
