Delta GC's do not work anymore online (and not available anymore in lounges iirc)

I spotted some in a DL lounge recently. I think in JFK. Are there historical dp's of DL GC's in lounges triggering the credit?

I think these are GC that you grab and activate later, the payment is not made in the lounge itself.

does anyone know (sorry if discussed earlier..) if I used this last year but then had to refund the charges that I got the airline credit for - does amex then claw back the credit?

Tried it with a cheap ticket and it worked. Got the Amex credit. United gave an electronic voucher. Didn't try yet combining the vouchers

Claw back happened to me on 2 cards. From my experience it seems that if you keep the account open there is less of a chance of a claw back.

It was a very cheap ticket (less than $20). Just did it for fun to try it out. Waited 2 days till Amex credited the money back as an airline fee, then I hit the cancel button on my United reservation. Within minutes the voucher was in my United account

They will claw it back at some point, even years later. You’ll get a bill in the mail

All the DP I saw, they only clawed back if the card was closed within the membership year.
