I'm curious, why do Visa gift cards sell on eBay for more than the price of the actual gift card?

This is a very old question that has been answered many times. Feel free to use Google.

In short, people are looking to cash out their Ebay bucks or Ebay gift cards, or they use this as a method of money laundering. In all of these cases, they are wiling to pay a premium.
