I applied for the card about a month ago. I tried many times to get matched but was not suucesfull. Ok i thought at least I have my 25k and planned to tranfer to Continental. Although I met the $1000 threshold, my points did not post yet. I figured Ill call up today to burrow until it posts, the automated machine says I have 45k pending which on website they breakdown to 25 10 and 10. So, 1st of all whats up with that? Call M.R. ask them to post all of them now --tell them u need them for a trip , if u paid ur bill should be no problem 2 get them 2 do it -------- as far as the "extra"-- i too got extra 25k a while back --they found the error later --never took them back-good luck

Are Amex only able to post points manually for people when the balance on the card is paid in full?

they just posted for me the other day b4 i paid bill( it did close ) --but she did say --you are a long long time card holder so i will do it

if u need the points an can not pay bill now -- u have no choice and to ask for them

I was just thinking as follows: Amex doesn't match to the 75k offer as it is a TARGETED offer. But how about someone that applied with a 10k offer? Can they get matched to 15k or even 25k as it was technically a PUBLIC offer? If yes what is the bonus ID for 25k? When you click DDF link for 25k only 15k shows up Bonus ID 5953

Amex should match to a public offer. If you're not seeing the correct offer, try clearing your cookings or using a different browser.

Amex has put down their feet even on Public offers. They tell you to reapply thru that offer.

I'm confident that talking to the right rep/supervisor, you can get a public offer matched.

I tried already several times, it didn't work. But maybe, you could never know.

Im not sure why but a few of my friends who applied for the 10k Gold got a total of 25k . Their accounts show 2 signup bonuses one for 10k and one for 15k.

How much did they spend on the cards? Maybe they have a $15k spend bonus?

No. Almost all put a one time charge of 1k to fulfill the spend requirement

If they didn't get matched to anything, I wouldn't worry much about a clawback.
