Just to inform you of my latest..
I just received my card, first called for code 5894, she told me it expired July 1st and it was only if you applied some time between April and July.
I then called for code 6661 and he immediately put it to my acct. for 75k after $1k in 3mo.

P.S. i'm just a pushete guy starting out with Amex, no hidden agenda's here, no conspiracies (i feel compelled to mention this after previous comments that i'm reading in this thread).

Doesn't hurt to call in and try, YMMV. But usually no, it's mostly for new PRG cards.

Recently got it for a card that was over a year old, they gave it as a goodwill.

In case I wasn't clear do you know IF he's part of a call center, and if yes which one . Lately I have had more luck with the N.C. Center. ( If they are still around after Irene)
