I think the Visa Checkout thing needs to be done via app while this is online only. So I'd say no.

I did additional cards and did not get the bonus.

Also does it need to be a visa, or can it be amex?

Load $10 onto a Starbucks card (via their app) using Visa Checkout, get an additional $10 e-card.  Stated limit of 1 per person.  Just got this e-mail from Starbucks, so it seems to be alive again.
