Totally within walking distance (weather permitting). Less than 20 minutes and it's a nice walk. You could walk along the river a bit and you also walk right thru one of the main squares (forgot which).
But, IMO, chabad's meals were a major letdown. Very basic and not enough.
Day and night compared to Venice.
Good to know. We're hopefully going in February, so I guess we'll decide based on the weather.

It looks like there's a Hyatt SLH (Palazzo Vecchietti) that's a little closer, but I'd have to transfer points for that..
Anybody stay in St Regis over Shabbos?
Any issues with automatic doors, using stairs, etc?
Did you end up staying there for shabbat? What was your experience?
For better or worse, haven't been to the one in Venice so I won't have anything to compare to
