Cost to build a home

Anyone build a custom home recently in the tristate area that can has any insight? Looking to build an avg home with a few upgrades perhaps. (lot is owned already). My own research is telling me anywhere bet $100 and $300/sq ft. Looking for a more accurate number.

You cant compare apples to oranges.  Only way is an in person quote.  Nobody can know by chat the sewer, electric or foundation situation etc...

For nice house with normal upgrades it's about $150 sq ft.

For nice house with normal upgrades it's about $150 sq ft.
that's pretty high. I'm in the same boat. your own living quarters you can account for approximately 120 sf, basement and attic areas around 90. of course, when you say a few upgrades, that's very relative. my numbers are based on average construction, granite countertops in kitchen but no bluestone paving...

what do you mean by 'own living quarters '?
