Do you believe a Twitter rando with a substack newsletter ($) whose whole persona is climate change denial, or entire actuarial departments of insurance companies?
Ok, how about a liberal fact checking group? The best they came up with is that wildfires are about the same as 100 years ago:

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/oct/15/heartland-institute/no-wildfires-werent-bigger-1920s-and-30s-today/

The fact is that most of the increased costs are associated with inflation and increased rebuilding costs both in labor and material. Blaming climate change makes for good politics more than anything else. Just take a look at the numerous public officials blaming the current Quebec fires on climate change, when the past 30 day precipitation and temperatures in Quebec were at normal historical levels, no hotter or drier than the average.

I dont believe most people would perpetually lie to get funding or advance their careers. Just like she didn't either.
I don't either know why the government back in the 80s were in a fight with the oil companies.

Assuming a researcher or scientist would never lie - if research is paid with the agenda of finding climate change issues, you will mainly be left with climate scientists that already agree with that agenda. The video basically addresses this.

Also, at this point there’s already a consensus among climate scientists, there’s little motivation for them to question and challenge the evidence. Just think about COVID scientific consensus.

And just as that has been proven to be bunk, this is too.

Ok I'm not agreeing with on this yet. Let's put it aside.
The video stated the reason is because the government (US?) was in a fight of some sort with oil companies therefore were funding studies a while back. What's that about?

Man made climate change is certain. I'm Florida, we had vast mangroves that would protect against storms..  in North Miami Beach, some guy built #1 artificial turf lawn #2 cement wall next to sidewalk , obviously the result is massive flooding.

Do people care? I think not, the owner of this house I doubt cares.

You don't need to be an expert to see that roads and sidewalks cannot absorb water.

You don't need to be an expert to feel that the same absorb and give off heat.

Live oaks absorb carbon and provide vast shade, reducing heat

There are trees that absorb water etc

Will they make a better road and sidewalk surface? Sure, but still, I think urban and suburban tree growth should be a priority

Heat dome is real. Also if you had water run off that cooled beneath the roads and sidewalks etc that would help a lot .

I'd love for cities to tear up empty parking lots, require new parking lots to be shaded etc

Besides for the heat, trees done right can as I mentioned, absorb carbon, clean the hair and absorb water .

The other issue of earths groundwater problem, I think is beyond just excessive pumping, there's often no where for water to go when it rains

We're a few days from January and I still haven't needed my heavy coat. And I think snow is pretty much obsolete - at least in the tri-state area
