"When selecting the credit card that best meets your needs,
please remember that our policy no longer allows for
customers to have more than one credit card in the same
product. Applications for a card product you already have
may not be eligible for approval."

They never let you apply for a card you already have. This affects product changes too?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

While I've never done it for personal cards, for what I read on DDMS it seemed possible.

For the business products one could definitely have same product multiple businesses.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Chase Sapphire Preferred and The Reserve would be considered in the same family.

Meaning someone with a CSP will not be approved for a CSR?

I know it's the same family, but technically it's a different product.

I might be interpreting it wrong.

Maybe it means 2 of the identical type of cards.

That doesn't make sense. Freedom and Freedom Unlimited are different products, I have both. CSP and CSR are different products (I only have CSR).

That was highly lucrative when I got 10 point per swipe.

I'm aware. (I have all 4.) I'm not sure what he's saying has changed.

Vr days!
Not sure what Vr means.

But I bought quite a few 1 cent sim cards on Amazon (which vendors actually ended up mostly refunding so they wouldn't have to pay Amazon), and an automated script to reload Amazon balances 50 cents at a time.

OP is this your source?
http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Chase-Policy-on-One-New-Card-Same-Product/td-p/4808972

That, Reddit and a few other places. Looks like this was in place for a while since september.

Most people got this via SM after asking about a PC.

I can't find it via the Chase terms on the actual website.

Just posted it after the read.
