I'll start:
AA: Lifetime Gold/One World Ruby
Continental: Silver Elite/Skyteam Elite
United: 3P/Star Alliance Silver
Starwood: Gold
Avis: Chairman

But I actually earned my gold by spending $30,000 on my Starwood Amex.

For airline lounge info just start a new thread.

As far as how I personally earned elite status:
AA I got from getting 1,000,000 lifetime miles.  (AA is the only airline that counts all miles towards lifetime status.)
Continental was via flying over 25K EQM's during 2007.
United was gifted to me from a friend.
Starwood Gold is from my AMEX Platinum card.

There are many benifets but not if you dont stay in any spg properties

but i never use it it's cheaper for me to use enterprise with a corporate account and i get the same car

im avis first and i usually rent a full size and get upgraded to either luxury suv convertible or minivan   based on availability what advantage is there to being presidents club do they upgrade even if theres a res for that particular car or is it also based on availability?

Its also based on availability although I've had in the past that I wanted cars that were pre asighned already and i was able to make the change.
Which Avis location gave you a luxury for a full size res as a Avis first member?
