My kids tzizis strings get tangled and mangled in the wash. What is a good way to wash them without that happening (and without buying the Magen Tzizis thing)Thanks
Tinfoil
Really?
im yet to wash my own but I've heard whispers of wrapping the strings in tinfoil.
hand wash + hang dry.lets see if we can turn this into a friday discussion.
Here goes- Since any washable tzitzis obviously wouldn't be made out of wool, where's the halachic basis for saying that such begadim are kosher?
i was thinking along the lines of who would be doing the hand washing
Why can't u wash wool tzitzis?
There goes the "Lakewood" guy....Wool Tzitzis isn't officially washable, cotton is washable.
He wanted PC, so I was just trying to get the conversation moving. I know the consequences of washing wool tzitzis. You smell like a sheep for around a month
Is the Rama good enough?
Yep, it was a really weak attempt at popcorn actually.
Popcorn lesson #1In order to start a sustainable PC topic there must not be an easy and universally accepted conclusion. For example you can mention techeiles or those zebra stripes you have on your tallis.
