Best airline award options within Europe
« on: May 03, 2011, 10:28:15 PM »
Now that I'll be closing my Amex Plat and I need to move the points into an airline program, I need some advice. I'm looking for the best option where to transfer my points for flights within Europe originating in the UK.

Any advice?

If you don't care to fly airlines like EasyJet, RyanAir etc, you're best off redeeming your MR points elsewhere.

@ashero: laav davka, depends on how, when, where he is traveling, and how long he plans to stay at his destinations.

bmi isnt cheap, you can try also wizzair its thompsonfly, jet4you, jetair, and check for flights from secondary airports, such as einhoven, ostend, liege, luton, stantsed, charleroi, etc etc

SkyScanner.net should index European LCCs.

AsherO has a point that the LCC's sometimes have such low prices that it's not worth using miles, but how about multi-city flights? Who is best with stops etc.?
I'm thinking of transferring them into a US-based *A airline, and have the ability to use them on LH, LX etc.
