Laptop Question
« on: December 21, 2016, 01:46:41 PM »
I originally posted this in the Laptops thread in the Deals section, but since I am not really posting a deal I am copying it here as well. Apologize for the duplicate post.

How would you compare the following 2 laptops? Price aside, which is a better laptop and why? TIA.

Better to post post question in that thread (that's kind of what its for) than to open a new thread.

Ok, thanks. I posted it here as after thought since that thread is under "deals". I'll try removing this thread. thanks.

The HP is thinner, lighter (so if you want it for portability it might be important), and has a 4K screen.

Yes, judging by the market price and my own feel.

You must understand that not everything is about raw specs. While I didn't say you should buy this specific device, and a simple consumer Dell Inspiron with the latest i5 and double the RAM may be the same price. Still, this is a business device, it is a pretty sturdy and durable one, coming with Windows Pro (again, not that you should care, but in some situations this is a must) and more.

So, in your case, it might not be worth for a neighbor that much (spec wise I'd give it $325 or so).

Trying to sell it 'for' him but yes. I got it. It's worth around there for someone who wants those specific things.
