Hello,

If I book a ticket to ATH on Emirates & then a separate ticket to TLV with a different airline:

1) What happens to my luggage? What's the process &

2) Do I have to go through customs & immigration in ATH?

3) Lastly, is ATH safe for a lady flying alone?

Thank you all in advance-I'd REALLY appreciate any help!!
Book through AC and they can be on one itinerary
only if *A

I have never booked a ticket with Emirates, however I know someone that did and he got a business ticket to Israel for 90,000 points. anything I look at is more than double that. What am I missing, what should I be doing?

There are no direct flights to Israel, so I'm assuming he flew to Milan or Greece and booked a sep ticket from there

correct. it was with a stopover in Greece, but total paid was 90,000 and I do not see anything like that. I asked the one that flew, but it seems that someone else did it for him, he has no clue.

Not really answering your question but why do you want to fly specifically on Emirates?

With Air Canada points you can fly in J for 70k, either through Lisbon on TAP or through Turkey on Turkish. You can pay even less if you use Turkish points.

I agree in theory, I am just looking for different dates and would like to know availability in case the availability is not available on Air Canada. sorry for my ignorance, J is coach? this person flew business for 90,000 points, AC, that is close to what you are paying in coach..

You used to be able to book it for 70k in AC, now it's 115k

I’m booked to ATH with a separate Aegean ticket to TLV - 1:10 connection. No checked in luggage. Is this too tight? Am I arriving and departing from the same terminal?

Thanks in advance!

the ruv shouldn’t worry. You could even ask in ewr (I guess) by check in to check your bags through and they’ll print your Aegean boarding pass

You don't need luck, they sell upgrades at check in, gate, and onboard

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I've heard that if it's an open first they let you upgrade for 10k skyward. Is that true?

IIRC they wanted 30k miles or $800ish

Do you think it work with checked luggage? Would they be willing to check it straight maybe?
