Can anyone here confirm whether Emirates upgrade at check-in works the same for award tickets as it does for revenue tickets?

If your 2nd leg is Aegean, it’ll likely get cancelled…

Does anyone know what is Emirates rebooking policy? They are due to restart TLV flights on 1st April. I'd like to book for Pesach for long-haul connection from TLV - if EK leg into/out of TLV is cancelled will they rebook me onto FlyDubai (which is owned by them and I believe is still flying)?

Thanks

Points transferred from Amex, Capital one, chase into Emirates will no longer be transfered into a family account, I discovered this after I transferred 13k capital one, only to receive this email from emirates:

Thanks for contacting us.

We had recently made some changes in the family programme.

Financial partners points conversions transactions will be credited to individual Skywards account, even though your are holding family account.

In an effort to continuously improve our programme offering and ensure a positive and secure experience for all our members, Emirates Skywards will restrict pooling of Miles earned through our Financial points exchange/conversion partners into My Family accounts. You will, however, continue to earn Miles in your individual Skywards account for such transactions.

In view of the above, I regret I'm unable to transfer the Miles to your family group.

For all the terms and conditions, you may click on the link https://www.emirates.com/english/skywards/my-family/

You can contact us if you need any more information.

Have a good day!

Can an individual account book for family members?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I need to book some flights to Moscow. Emirates has availability. NYC-DXB showing also on AC, but as with most western OTAs, can't book a flight to Moscow.

1. If I book NYC-DXB with AC on Emirates and DXB-MOW with Emirates, will they allow me to check luggage all the way through to Moscow and JFK check-in?
2. Emirates is showing 1 seat available in F, is there any likelihood of another seat opening up (about a month and a half out), and if I book one in F and one in J and another F seat opens up, will I be able to change the J booking to F?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

in general, you can check luggage all the way through if it's the same airline (and some cases on different airlines as well) even if it's separate bookings. The only issue I can think of is if they have some rule about US-Russia, but if they're selling cash tickets then I don't see where there can be a problem.

You will only be able to change with the standard AC change fee, but you can upgrade at checkin with EK miles as long as there's an F seat available for purchase. This applies to AC award bookings as well. JFK-MXP is 30k to upgrade from J to F, not sure if DXB is the same, check their upgrade calculator on the website.
