is it possible that they really can remove notations? doesnt it just me they put in the notes that he is eligible? I def would have him try calling again.. and then you always have ydinoviters guy who works like charm. I def recommend him!

hi, i just called amex regarding bonus id 5748, i called them 4 times no luck.

they said that since sep 1 they cant do it because to many request, did anyone have success in recieving it since?

I was successful on sep.2 The rep said that she had instructions not to give it if not targeted but after checking came back and said that since i heard about the better offer she could give it to me and she noted my acct. to that effect.

I got this card in aug sent a sm requesting them to match offer 6661. Got a response " you will be happy to know that I have noted your account" ect... I already spent a $1000 and the 15000 bonus points already posted. I tried a few times through phone and sm they are refusing to add the points telling me that I was not targeted for this offer. Any suggestions?

Why doing over the phone. Just reply now to that SM that you got. It should probably work.

I got my Business Gold notated for 6608 on 7/4/11 and waited the 8 weeks, called on 9/4 and was told by a team manager that she would manually post the points for me within 72 hours.

Today is 9/7 and I still don't see the points. Should I call back or send an SM?

Same thing happened to me. Was told yesterday the points would post in 48 hours, but no points yet...

just got off with amex--same waited 48 hrs --no points -- now 3 reps tell me the old story of -- 4-6 weeks ---amex has changed somewhat -- i did get 2day 10k for insite tool bar after 3 s.m."s

never ever had to wait 8 weeks , could always talk may thru 2 get them posted a/o---

they now ask, did you get a mailer for the bonus and if you are not targeted are blanket refusing to give the bonus. they have changed their ways. All good things must come to an end

I agree --Yet i got for my plat 25k --later called in july to bitch that i signed up for 50k and have a screen shot --- gave me 50 k more --- called sept 3 told them 5748 and i was shorted 50 k , told me noted on the account and will post 24- 48 hrs after the holiday --they were not posted -- just called , put me on hold for abt 10 minutes -- told posted the 50k -- so now 125k for plat-- took some work , but well worth it -- but I do agree not the same amex as b4

I think the key is that you got the accout notated before the change took effect. Had I been smart I would have gotten my account notated in advance. But who would have known.

I called that number SPLP listed and they said even though I was notated 2 months ago that there was nothing they could do.
