I guess I'll try calling but I'm not really sure what to say and argue... I'm sure they'll start off saying no. They clearly know what we're doing.

negotiate. Say you understand that you cannot get 50k but perhaps some point compensation bc of your loyalty to amex. OR you can ask to speak to a supervisor and go from there

In general, it might be good to be clear you are asking your question to be in opposition to something someone else has done. For example: "Has anyone tried calling for a cancelled card, as opposed to via SM?" That way it is crystal clear what you mean.

Or perhaps just take the extra second to make sure that what im asking is indeed a new question. I dont blame you. You clearly read it fast and thought i didnt read the thread and was acting like a noob. I have been posting in, and flowing this thread for days.

Also, yesterday you responded to a post of mine asking "When did YOU apply" when I had just posted my apply date not long before that, so you clearly had not read the thread when you asked me. Why? Do you have some reason to believe Michelle from Amex is in pakistan. Sounded more like India to me.

So I called and after a long hold she came back and said she posted them additional points
Thanks everyone for the your help.
2 cards, plat. and gold = 175K MR points!!!

Edit: Just logged on to my Amex accounts... In the account summery section it states the lower amount of points but when I go to the MR part of the site it says 175K, but for some reason on the statement part the additional didn't come up at all. When I got the additional points for the gold card, it came up under the plat. card, maybe it just takes time till it comes up...

I called once, and I was told that the 50k was a targeted promotion, and I had not been targeted. I called back 5 minuted later and was put on hold for a few minutes and then he told me he would post it.
